Question 1

What makes commemorative coin auctions different from regular coin sales?

Accepted Answer

Unlike fixed-price listings, commemorative coin auctions let the market determine value in real time. When you bid through our platform, you're competing alongside fellow collectors and resellers in a transparent, timed environment. Each auction lot includes detailed condition reports and certificate-of-authenticity notes. Plus, every purchase supports the American Cancer Society and Feed the Hungry.

Question 2

How can I tell if a commemorative coin is worth bidding on at auction?

Accepted Answer

Start by checking the coin's mintage year, grade, and certification status. Our online listings display clear images, mint marks, and professional grading notes. We recommend comparing the estimated value against similar lots sold in recent auctions on our site.

Question 3

What types of commemorative coins appear most often in your auctions?

Accepted Answer

Our inventory rotates regularly but frequently includes U.S. Mint releases, limited-edition proof sets, international commemoratives, and coins tied to historical anniversaries. We also feature bulk lots ideal for resellers.

Question 4

What is estate jewelry, and is it safe to buy estate jewelry online through an auction?

Accepted Answer

Estate jewelry refers to pre-owned pieces from private collections or trusted consignors. It is safe because each item is individually photographed, described, and vetted. We provide detailed condition notes and specifications.

Question 5

How do online estate jewelry auctions work for first-time bidders?

Accepted Answer

Browse our current estate jewelry lots, place a bid, and monitor until it closes (typically 7:00 PM CST). We offer flat $7 shipping and include a free gift with every order.

Question 6

What kind of estate jewelry sells best at online auctions?

Accepted Answer

Gold pieces (10k, 14k, 18k), diamond-studded items, vintage designer pieces, and unique design elements like filigree or Art Deco geometry tend to perform exceptionally well.

Question 7

How do charity jewelry auctions work, and where does the money go?

Accepted Answer

Approximately 10% of our proceeds — sometimes more — is given to the American Cancer Society and Feed the Hungry. Your winning bid helps fight cancer and hunger.

Question 8

Are charity auction prices higher than regular jewelry retail?

Accepted Answer

No. Auctions start at low opening bids, and you can often find pieces at or below retail market value while supporting a good cause.

Question 9

Can I donate jewelry or coins to your charity auctions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept consignments from individuals and organizations. Contact us to discuss options.

Question 10

Why should I choose a charity auction site over a regular online marketplace?

Accepted Answer

Your spending power is amplified by purpose. You get high-quality items at competitive prices, and every bid contributes to meaningful causes.
